Boston - New Hampshire - Providence Joint Section Chapter

Greetings! The IEEE Reliability Joint Section Chapter (Boston - New Hampshire - Providence) has held a couple of meetings since our last newsletter entry. In October, the chapter will chair the Reliability Track at the 58th NEQC Conference, follow the link for more details.

 

May 2010: on Wednesday, May 12 we held our meeting at RSA, the Security Division of EMC, Bedford, MA. Keith Donaldson, President, Engineered Materials, Inc. presented "How Carbon Footprints, Green Initiatives, and Reliability Work Together or Against Each Other" to 30 members and guests.

 

 

June 2010: on Wednesday the 9th, IEEE Reliability Society Standards Committee Chair, Lou Gullo, Raytheon — Integrated Defense Systems (IDC) Seapower Capability Center (SCC), Portsmouth, RI, presented "IEEE Reliability Society Standards Status and Descriptions". This meeting was held at EMC Corporation Headquarters in Hopkinton, MA with 17 members and guests.

 

Upcoming meetings & Events:  

September 2010: on the 15th, Charles Recchia, Senior Reliability Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation in Hudson, Massachusetts will present "Microprocessor Industry-Wide Soft Error Reliability Trends and Challenges". This meeting will be held at Teradyne, Inc. Headquarters in North Reading, MA.

 

In October 2010, The Joint section chapter will support the Reliability Track for the 58th NEQC Conference. This will be the 3rd consecutive conference where the Reliability chapter has chaired the track at this annual event.
