VAL MONSHAW VAL Monshaw of Haddonfield, NJ died on Sat., Jan. 1, 2011, at the age of 84. Val graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He interrupted College to serve in the United States Army Air Corp from 1945-1947.
He received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from The College of the City of New York (CCNY) in 1949 and a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from CCNY in 1954. Upon graduation he was employed by the Signal Corps Engineering Laboratories. In 1956 he joined RCA Government Systems
in Camden, NJ working on a number of military and classified programs. In 1962 he transferred to the newly formed RCA Astro Electronics Division in Hightstown, NJ. In 1979, as Director of Product Assurance he was responsible for the development and implementation of design analysis and
assembly techniques to assure the reliability, quality and in-orbit functional lifetime of the RCA Astro observation, navigation, communication scientific and classified satellite systems. In 1989 he joined GE Government systems Division in Moorestown, NJ with responsibilities for Radar and
Sonar Systems. He retired in 1991.
