RS Awards - Jan 2010

The IEEE Reliability Society Annual Awards Reception and Banquet was held at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 25th , 2014. Current Society President, Christian Hansen welcomed the attendees and introduced the New AdCom Class and the 2014 Officers.

Past President Jeffrey Voas presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Alfred M Stevens for achievements in Reliability on the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile System and NASA’s Space Shuttle Program.

The Engineer of the Year Award was presented to Lionel Briand for achievements in Model-based Software Verification and Testing.

In addition, Shuihpyng Shieh was recognized for his elevation to IEEE Fellows for advances in Pattern –oriented Intrusion Detection and Fault Tolerant Protection. Past President Dennis Hoffman was also recognized for his service, leadership and dedication to the Reliability Society.
