Call for Papers IEEE Transactions on ReliabilitySpecial Section on Software Quality Assurance: Research & PracticeOur society has become more dependent on software-intensive systems, not only in safety-critical areas (defense, transportation, nuclear power generation, space exploration, etc.), but also in areas such as finance and medical information management. With the recent growth of more software applications in cloud computing and big data, system failure or loss of identity privacy, data fidelity, or data integrity becomes even more critical and can have causal catastrophic outcomes. A forum to consolidate the community of interested researchers and practitioners is desired to more frequently discuss innovative approaches to software quality assurance. Software’s complexity has outpaced previous methods of quality assurance because of new gateways to attacks and data loss. We seek thought-provoking manuscripts that promote sound techniques to ensure the safe, correct, and secure operation of software-intensive systems. This special section emphasizes both current and emerging practices in software quality assurance. The guest editors welcome reviews and case studies on state-of-art research, state-of-practice experience, and even ‘seat-of-the-pants’ novel ideas if well-defined and practical. Topics The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Submission We welcome high quality submissions that are original work, not published or currently submitted elsewhere. We also encourage extensions to conference papers, unless prohibited by copyright, if there is at least 30% difference in the technical content. Authors should follow the information posted at http://rs.ieee.org/images/files/Publications/Trans_Reliability/information_readers_and_authors.pdf to prepare and submit their manuscripts.
