Editorials of Ralph Evans now available to all RS Members

As you are likely aware, all Reliability Society members get unrestricted access to the IEEE Transactions on Reliability (T-Rel) going back to the 1960's.  Not only does this journal have a outstanding Impact Factor, but the half-life of the TRel articles exceeds 10 years, which is also amazing.  In addition all RS members have unrestricted access to the RS Conference Digital Library, a compendium of hundreds of Conference Proceedings from conferences in Reliability, Maintainability, PHM, Modeling and Validation, Software Reliability and Security, Physics of Failure and many other topics.

I am very pleased to say that we have added a new benefit for members of the Reliability Society.  We have compiled a collection of Editorials from the legendary Dr. Ralph A. Evans, written during his tenure as Editor in Chief and Managing Editor of the T-Rel.  There are 165 Editorials, written between February 1969 and June of 1990.  When you read them, you can understand why the TRel  articles have such a long half-life.  Most of the editorials are as relevant today as they were when they were written.

If you are an RS member and would like to see the compendium of Ralph's editorials, go to http://rs.ieee.org and click the "About RS" tab, then click the "For Reliability Society Members Only" link in the left panel.

Respectfully submitted,

Robert Loomis
Treasurer, IEEE Reliability Society
