QRS 2016: A Great Success
(The 2016 IEEE International Conference on Software Quality, Reliability and Security)

W. Eric Wong
Editor-in-Chief, IEEE Transactions on Reliability
Chair, QRS Steering Committee

This year's QRS conference was in Vienna, Austria – a place known as the City of Music – from August 1 to 3 at the Vienna University of Technology. In addition to the IEEE Reliability Society, the conference was also sponsored by SBA Research, Austria; Microsoft Research, USA; University of Texas at Dallas, USA; and Graz University of Technology, Austria.

The main conference received more than 100 submissions. In addition, there are ten workshops focusing on various topics within the main scope of QRS. It is the first time that the conference has a poster session to make it more dynamic and interactive. The number of attendees was more than 180. All these make new records for the QRS conference.
