Software Testing Contest in Nanjing, China

The final competition of the 2017 Software Testing Contest in China was held at Nanjing University on October 28 and 29. With the technical support from the Reliability Society of the Nanjing Chapter, this contest was under the direction of

  • Advisory Committee of Higher Education in Software Engineering of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China
  • China Computer Federation Technical Committee on Software Engineering (CCF TCSE)
  • China Software Testing & Evaluating Organization Alliance (CSTEA)
  • China Computer Federation Technical Committee on Systems Software (CCF TCSS)
  • China Computer Federation Technical Committee on Fault Tolerant Computing (CCF TCFTC)

Selected winners of this final competition are invited to participate in the 2nd IEEE International Software Testing Contest to be held at the 18th IEEE International Conference on Software Quality, Reliability and Security (QRS 2018; http://paris.utdallas.edu/qrs18) on July 17 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The following figure shows the schedule and the process of this contest.

In 2017, there were 7,061 contestants from more than 300 universities and colleges in 32 provinces. It covers all regions in China except for Macao and Tibet. They competed in six divisions: North, East, South, Center, Northeast, West, and Southwest. There were 626 contestants who entered the 2nd round — regional finals, and 287 attended the final competition in Nanjing. The total cash prize for division competitions is ¥60,000 and ¥360,000 (around $55,000 USD) for the final competition.
