Reliability Society Vice President Received High Award


Prof. Shiuhpyng Shieh, Reliability Society VP of Technical Activities, received the Outstanding Research Award, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan in recognition of his outstanding achievements in computer science research. This highly regarded research award is presented each year to one or two individuals who have made significant and lasting research contributions to the theory or practice of computer science. The award recipient receives a US $30,000 honorarium, and a plaque engraved with their name and signed by the Minister. The award was announced and presented by the Minister at the MOST award presentation ceremony in late May 2019.

Prof. Shieh is currently a Chair Professor of National Chiao Tung University, Reliability Society Vice President of Technical Activities, and IEEE Fellow. His research interests include network security, risk assessment, and intrusion detection.
