Meeting with the SPAST Delegation

Dr. Jeffrey Voas (incoming 2017 President) and Professor W. Eric Wong (Editor-in-Chief, IEEE Transactions on Reliability) had a meeting with a delegation from the China Association for Science and Technology, Pudong, Shanghai (SPAST) on December 5th in Washington, D.C. The delegation includes Mr. Fengxiang Gong (Vice Secretary General), Mr. Caohong Tang (Associate Research Consultant), Mr. Jianhua Zhou (Senior Section Member), Miss Ying Xin and Miss Huili Zhang. The focus of the discussion is in the area of IoT (Internet of Things). In addition, the delegation expressed that SPAST is interested in supporting RS sponsored conferences and training in Shanghai, China.

The delegation also visited the IEEE Standards Association in Piscataway, New Jersey on December 6th to further discuss the potential collaboration between SPAST, IEEE, and the Reliability Society.
