The IEEE Dallas Section had its annual award banquet at the Dallas World Aquarium on January 20, 2018. Three members of the RS Dallas Chapter received the Distinguished Service Award:

• Professor Eric Wong for designing and supervising all the events sponsored the RS Dallas Chapter.

• Linghuan Hu (IEEE RS Member & PhD candidate in Computer Science at UTD) for assisting technical seminars and training courses sponsored by the Dallas chapter. He coordinated with building deputies and secretaries in the Computer Science Department at UTD for all logistical arrangements to ensure the success of these events.

• Dongcheng Li (IEEE RS Member & Master student in Computer Science at UTD) for helping the organization of the Software Testing Contest at UTD on January 29. He worked with RS Dallas Chapter members and the staff at the Center for Computer Science Education & Outreach at UTD in support of this contest.
