Dr. Ruizhi Gao Named the Associate EiC of RS Newsletter

Since 2016, Ruizhi Gao has assisted Lon Chase, Editor-in-Chief of RS Newsletter, in editing every issue of the RS Newsletter. In particular, he is responsible for making sure that all the articles are properly formatted for web display. He is also in charge of revisions based on the feedback from AdCom members before a newsletter is publicly released.

Dr. Gao is currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Sonos Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Nanjing University, and Master’s and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas.

In 2016, he received an outstanding service award for the IEEE Dallas Section for his contribution in helping to organize the 29th IEEE Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&T), which was technically sponsored by the Reliability Society and held in Dallas on April 5 and 6, 2016.

Dr. Gao has published technical papers in many prestigious venues, including IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Empirical Software Engineering, Journal of Systems and Software, Software Quality Journal, IEEE International Conference on Software Engineering, and IEEE International Conference on Software Quality, Reliability, and Security.
