Tom Fagan Receives Region 2 Outstanding Service Award

Tom is a Fellow of both the IEEE and the Society of Reliability Engineers (SRE), an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.

The purpose of the Award is to recognize a member of Region 2 who, through service to the Region and to the Institute, has made an outstanding contribution to the profession.

The Reliability Society is proud to announce that Tom Fagan was selected by IEEE Region 2 as the recipient of their 2017 Outstanding Service Award. In addition to being a valuable member of Region 2, Tom has provided outstanding service to the Reliability Society, having served as Past President of the RS, and currently represents the RS as Chair of the Long Range Plan Committee for Site Selection on the RAMS Board of Directors. Tom is also a recipient of the RS Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tom founded TLF Associates in the late 1980’s to provide Professional and Technical Consulting Services to DOD and other Federal Agencies. Since 2000 he has been involved in a DOD Tri-service Center of Excellence for Network Centric Warfare that includes an incubator for new start-up companies wanting to do business with DOD. He was a Professional Staff Member on the US Senate Armed Services Committee and has more than 40 years of experience in the Defense and Aerospace Industry. He also has broad experience in classified military space; hardware; software; information systems; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), UAVs; and Port Security.
