Editorial Board Meetings of IEEE Transactions on Reliability

Professor W. Eric Wong, Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Reliability, called for two Editorial Board Meetings during the last six months. Topics discussed were how to improve the impact factor of TRel, and how to enhance paper review and solicit more high-quality submissions among others.

The first one was in Chengdu, China on June 21, 2018. It was held in conjunction with the 4th International Symposium on System and Software Reliability (ISSSR) at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Attendees included editors from USA, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Canada, such as Professor Suk Joo Bae (Hanyang University, Korea), Professor William Chu (Tunghai University, Taiwan), Professor Yuanshun Dai (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China), Professor Chin-Yu Huang (National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan), Professor Steven Li (Western New England University, USA), Professor Qiang Miao (Sichuan University, China), Professor Shubin Si (Northwestern Polytechnical University, China), Professor Jian Zhang (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), and Professor Ming Zuo (University of Alberta, Canada). Dr. Jeff Voas, President of Reliability Society, also joined and gave his welcome remarks.

The second meeting was at Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan on November 21. Attendees include all four Associate Editors in Taiwan: Professor William Chu (Tunghai University), Professor Chin-Yu Huang (National Tsing Hua University), Professor Sun-Yuan Hsieh (National Cheng Kung University), and Professor Yi-Kuei Lin (National Chiao Tung University).
